Using Sound to Create Images
Ultrasound uses low enegery sound waves beyond the human hearing range to create images. It is used to view the fetus in expectant mothers and is also used to evaluate the gallbladder, thyroid, kidneys, blood vessels, and other anatomy.
Ultrasound is a service available at Columbia Park Medical Group's Imaging Center in the Blaine Clinic, as well as at Brooklyn Park and Fridley Clinics .
