Columbia Park Medical Group and Fairview Health Services announce new partnership
MINNEAPOLIS ( Sept. 7, 2007)--Columbia Park Medical Group ( CPMG) and Fairview Health Services announced a plan to work together to enhance health care in the northern suburbs. Leaders of both organizations have begun formal negotiations to bring CPMG’s clinics into the Fairview system.
CPMG operates six multi-specialty clinics in Andover, Blaine, Brooklyn Park, Columbia Heights and Fridley. CPMG employs 87 physicians and 520 employees and serves more than 220,000 patients each year. Leaders of both organizations say patients will continue to have access to their providers and clinics.
“This is great news for our patients as well as our dedicated staff and physicians,” says Deborah DeMarais, M.D., CEO of CPMG. “We believe Fairview is an exceptional fit for our clinics, based on our shared focus of high quality, integrated, community-based patient care.”
CPMG providers will join Fairview’s extensive network of hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and specialty care services, including specialists at University of Minnesota Physicians.
The partnership also will expand Fairview’s service area in the northern suburbs and facilitate the integration and coordination of care in a growing community.

The groups expect to finalize the agreement by the end of the year.
